Route

The route is never more than a general idea of where we expect to be. The rote is subject to constant revision. The route varies according to the political situation (both local and international), the weather, the needs of the car and the passengers, and most often, as a result of poor navigation.

 

The route may include /may already have included / may include if we get very lost:

Spain, Gibraltar, Ceuta, Morocco, Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, Cameroon, Chad, Sudan, Ethiopia, Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Malawi, Zambia, Patagonia, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Namibia and South Africa,

OK, so we lied. Or got lost. Still haven't figured out which, but with Sudan visas being "difficult" the route actually turned out as below. Bet that would have put the willies up the parents if they'd known... And of course there's the question of how a camel in South Africa gets home...
